Belfast - Omagh Letters

Eileen had returned to her teaching job in Omagh by October 1945, knowing that Frank was making his way home to Belfast from the Far East after his liberation.  Frank returned to “Beechwood”, his father’s house on the Cliftonville Road, Belfast in November 1945 while Eileen continued to live in rented accommodation at 9, Holmview, Omagh.  Their correspondence describes their love for each other, their activities and their plans for the future.  Eileen was able to leave her job in December 1945 and finally return to the O'Kane family home, Spring Villa, on the Springfield Road, Belfast to prepare for her forthcoming wedding.
